ΟΙ ΣΥΝΕΝΟΧΟΙ της Μαρίας Κολοβού Ρουμελιώτη
Χαθήκαμε στο μεγάλο λαβύρινθο του μυαλού
Στους σκοτεινούς θαλάμους του
Που ποτέ δεν ανοίχτηκαν στο φως
Παρά μονάχα μείναμε αδρανείς
Κουρνιασμένοι στη γωνιά
Αφημένοι στο έλεος του τυχαίου
Να μας τυλίξει η μυρωδιά της μούχλας ....
Γιατί φωτοφοβία έπαθαν θα μάτια μας
και δεν αντέχουνε το φως.....
Με γυαλιά ηλίου καλύψαμε την τύφλα μας
Και με αρώματα ακριβά ραντίσαμε τα κορμιά μας
Για να ξεχάσουμε τη σαπίλα
που χρόνια κουβαλούσαμε στις πλάτες μας!....
Και είπαμε πως,
άλλοι φέρουν την ευθύνη....
Και πως καμία ανάμιξη δεν έχουμε στο έγκλημα!
Και πάταγο εκκωφαντικό
κάνουμε
Καθώς χτυπάμε τα πόδια με κρότο στη γη
Σαν τα μικρά παιδιά που ζητούν καραμέλες!...
Και σύννεφα σκόνης σηκώνουμε
έως τον ουρανό
Και κρύβουμε τον ήλιο με τα καμώματα μας
Αφήνοντας
το καμπανάκι κινδύνου να χτυπά
Περιμένοντας τις μάνικες της Πυροσβεστικής να σβήσουν τη φωτιά
που τόσα χρόνια συνδαυλίζαμε !...

GREECE
We got lost in the great labyrinth of the mind
In its dark chambers
That were never opened to the light
But we just remained inactive
Perched in the corner
Left to the mercy of chance
Let the smell of mold envelop us....
Because our eyes became photophobic
And they can't stand the light.....
We covered our blindness with sunglasses
And sprayed our bodies with expensive perfumes
To forget the rot
that we carried on our backs for years!...
And we said that,
others are responsible....
And that we have no involvement in the crime!
And we make a deafening
clatter
As we stamp our feet on the ground
Like little children asking for candy!...
And we raise clouds of dust
to the sky
And we hide the sun with our actions
And we let
the alarm bell ring Waiting for the Fire Department hoses to put out the fire
that we have been fighting for so many years!..
