ΤΟ ΣΚΟΙΝΊ ΚΑΙ ΤΟ ΣΠΑΘΊ

Μη μιλάς για πρίγκιπες και πράσινα άλογα...

Δεν σηκώνω μεγάλες κουβέντες!

Πολλά ερείπια αφήσαμε πίσω μας!...

 

Στα χέρια μας κρατάμε το μυστρί και το σκεπάρνι

Τον κασμά και την αξίνα

Το σκοινί και το σπαθί!

Ώρα να στοχεύσουμε στην ουσία:

Να ανοικοδομήσουμε ό,τι κατεδαφίσαμε!

Πώς να μπορέσει κάποιος να ορίσει το μέγεθος του μέτρου;

Κάποιοι παρατραβούν το σκοινί και σπάει το χαλινάρι!....

Κάποιοι το τυλίγουν.... Άλλοι το ξετυλίγουν...

Και κάμποσοι το έχουν ως μεζούρα ή κατευόδιο στα ταξίδια τους...

 

Μερικοί δένουν τα άλογά τους με δυο οργιές σκοινί,

γύρω απ' το παλούκι για να βοσκήσουν τα μπαΐρια!...

 

Για τους προνοητικούς είναι σωτήριο εργαλείο!

Περνούν άβρεχτοι την απέναντι όχθη του άγριου ποταμού!

 

Οι οδοιπόροι το έχουν ως σταθεροποιητή στο στήσιμο της σκηνής τους....

Μα για κάποιους 

γίνεται θηλιά στο λαιμό 

μέχρι να κατέβει το σκήνωμα της ψυχής τους στον Άδη!...

 

Κάποιοι το έχουν για λάσο για να γραπώνουν απ' τ' αφτιά κάποια ατίθασα πνεύματα!

 

Το σπαθί δεν το κρατάς για να κόβεις κεφάλια ...

Το έχεις για να κόβεις ψωμί σε ίσια μερίδια και να το δίνεις στα παιδιά! 

Κι αν δεν έχεις, μήτε σπαθί μήτε σκοινί:

Κόβεις με την ψυχή σου τη λωρίδα τερματισμού και στέφεσαι άξιος, νικητής!

 

Το σκοινί και το σπαθί είναι αυτά που θα σε δεσμεύσουν ή θα σε αποδεσμεύσουν!....

THE ROPE AND THE SWORD

Don't talk about princes and green horses

I don't make big talks

We left a lot of ruins behind us!...

 

In our hands we hold the trowel and the chisel

The chisel and the pickaxe

The rope and the sword!

 

Time to aim for the essence;

To rebuild what was demolished.

How can someone define the length of the mesur?

Some pull the rope too far and the bridle breaks!....

Some wind it up.... Others unwind it...

And quite a few have it as a measuring tape or a guide on their journeys...

 

Some tie their horses with two metre rope,

around the stick to graze the dryland!...

 

For the foresightful it is a life-saving tool!

They cross the opposite bank of the wild river without getting wet!

 

Hikers have it as a stabilizer when setting up their tent....

Butfor some, it becomes a noose around their neck 

until the tabernacle of their soul descends to Hades!...

 

Some have it as a lasso to catch some unruly spirits from their ears!

 

You don't hold the sword to cut off heads...

You have it to cut the bread into equal portions and give it to the children!

And if you don't have either a sword or a rope:

You cut the finish line with your soul and you are crowned worthy, a winner!

 

The rope and the sword are what will bind you or set you free!...
